November is that time of the year when the weathers starts to cool down but it is still warm enough to hang out outdoors as well, although nobody will blame you if you choose an indoor event over the outdoor fun. At this time usually all the events are about the seasonal holidays but if you think it’s too early to get into the holiday spirit you can get away from it by attending a concert or musical.

This year Toronto offers a musical called Once, a P!nk and Paramore concert and a pleasant Yo-Yo Ma and Kathryn Stott concert for the ears of those who prefer classical music.

A successful musical – Once

On the 26th of November and the 5th of January next year you can attend this amazing show at Royal Alexandra Theatre. Ticket prices vary between $35-130. First it was only an independent movie then not long ago it became a smash musical hit on Brodway and now you can see its debut in Toronto as well. Enjoy the magical tunes of the songs of Markéta Irglová (a young woman from the Czech Republic) and Glen Hansard (street musician in Dublin). The songs include “Falling Slowly”, “The Moon”, “Gold” and others. If you want a perfect night out, we recommend you RSVP the event.

Classical music with Yo-Yo Ma and Kathryn Stott

If you prefer a calmer kind of music we recommend you the famous cellist, Yo-Yo Ma and companion for decades, pianist Kathryn Stott. They have provided the soundtracks of several Hollywood movies such as “Memoirs of a Geisha” or “Seven Years and Tibet”. Listen to the selected pieces of Stravinsky and others on the 22nd of November at Roy Thomson Hall. Ticket prices vary between $59.50-199.50.
